Venezuela's Political Disaster - February 15, 2007

Dear Journalists,

Reuters is reporting that al Qaeda called for attacks on suppliers of oil to the United States as published in the following links including Venezuela's oil fields:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/02/15/AR2007021500944.html

http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/americas/02/15/venezuela.oil.reut/index.html

I wonder if this is disinformation since after 9/11 there were reports that Chavez allegedly gave one million dollars to al Qaeda:

Further, Chavez fired 18,000 oil specialists working for the Venezuela's oil company PDVSA, and replaced them with specialists from OPEC countries hostile to the United States:

Perhaps al Qaeda may be fully operational in Venezuela, and if they were to blow up oil fields it would be easily done since they could be working for PDVSA.

Venezuela's Political Disaster - February 14, 2007

Dear Journalists,

Happy Valentine's Day!

Please know that I am an Independent voter, and in the 1980's I was fascinated by the then future Congressman Joe Kennedy. I had the pleasure to meet him at that time while I was an Intern at the Embassy of Venezuela. Mr. Kennedy was making arrangements to buy cheap oil from Venezuela for the poor people of Massachusetts. I thought that it was a wonderful act of goodwill, and supported him big time. However, his current public relations supporting Chavez in his television advertisement makes me sick.

In the last few years, bloggers have e-mailed to Joe Kennedy explaining Chavez's intentions. Pedro Mario Burelli wrote several months ago in his blog http://pmbcomments.blogspot.com/ that he was yelled at by Mr. Kennedy when he tried to explain the current political situation in Venezuela. Personally, my letters to the Citizens Energy office http://www.citizensenergy.com have not been responded.

Next, please find link to article written by Pedro Mario Burelli on this subject:

Please read in my blog press release from U.S. Congressman Connie Mack which echoes how Venezuelan Opposition feels about the Citgo commercials.

I invite you to please visit my blog to view a press release from U.S. Congressman Connie Mack about this issue.

Press Release from U.S. Congressman Connie Mack

In Case You Missed It....

Mack to Kennedy: Stop Letting Hugo Chavez Use You as a PR Prop

Dear Friend,

You probably know by now that I have become an outspoken critic of Venezuelan strongman Hugo Chavez. You may also know that former Massachusetts Congressman Joe Kennedy has become one of his biggest defenders in the United States.

That’s why earlier this week I called on Congressman Kennedy to stop airing television ads and participating in activities that praise this communist dictator. This call to action, coupled with Kennedy’s strident refusal to stop lauding Chavez has quickly become national news. Additionally, earlier today I challenged Congressman Kennedy to a debate about his unfettered support of Hugo Chavez, and to hear just how wrong he is. I’m still waiting to see if Congressman Kennedy will agree to debate, but I’ll be sure to let you know.

Also, be sure to tune in to NBC’s Today Show tomorrow morning at approximately 7:05 AM to watch a taped segment on the Kennedy-Chavez alliance.

Sincerely,

Connie Mack

PS - I thought you’d enjoy a chance to see some of the press releases and stories regarding the Chavez-Kennedy Alliance.
