S.O.S. Venezuela's Political Disaster - December 3, 2005

Dear Journalists,

On the eve of the possible fraudulent and abuse of power governmental election that may take place in Venezuela tomorrow, I urge you to please report the news of what is taking place in this desperate and neglected nation.

First of all, Venezuelans are circulating the attached petition addressed to the Organization of American States, the European Union, and the Carter Center urging action to rectify what may happen in the next hours:

Subject: Venezuela declares Electorate Crisis Petition

In order to understand what is happening please read report "Hugo Chávez's unexpected juncture: from checkmate to hara-kiri?" as written by International Analyst Pedro Mario Burelli in his blog:

RE: Venezuela's Political Disaster - November 30, 2005

Dear Journalists,

Attached herewith please find link to opinion article written by Ambassador Adolfo Taylhardat denouncing that the current voting system in Venezuela is not secret. Further, the government allegedly has used recent voting records to act against those who did not vote for Chavez and his supporters.

Also attached please read link to articles written by Analyst Alexandra Beech and Editor of www.vcrisis.com Aleksander Boyd concerning the voting scandal in Venezuela:

Please know that Chavez is planning to go ahead with the December 4 scheduled election even though candidates have withdrawn their candidacies in protest to the illegality of the current voting process.

Isn't this against the law? Is the Organization of American States unable to expose a dictator and restore democracy? What about other international organizations such the European Union and United Nations?

I spoke to Venezuelans hours before the candidates' mass withdrawals, and the spirit was that most of Venezuelans feel cheated big time and that the election scheduled for December 4, 2005 is just a major fraud and potentially harmful against citizens.

The following are related links:

Further, in case you have not read about this yet, U.S. Congressmen Henry Hyde and Tom Lanton were refused entry to Venezuela a few days ago as reported in the attached link:

http://english.eluniversal.com/2005/11/29/en_pol_art_29A637597.shtml

Chavez is blind to see that Venezuelans are protesting and is not the United States provoking the withdrawal of candidates. Perhaps if Chavez would shut up and listen to what Venezuelans are saying maybe he would see the reality.

Cordially,

Maru Angarita

Link to Some Letters Published

RE: Venezuela's Political Disaster - November 27, 2005

Dear Journalists,

As complaints and outrage following Chavez's belligerent behavior in Argentina accompanied by controversial Diego Maradona (please read my blog posting of November 5, 2005), Spain has proceeded to sell weapons to Venezuela in order to open up jobs as indicated in the link below:

http://www.dj.com.ve/article.asp?ArticleId=205913&CategoryId=10718

In the meantime, SUMATE is reporting new errors with the infamous Smartmatic voting machines and Chavez's supporters are continuing with the election plans to take place on December 4, 2005 even if the machines are giving wrong results.

http://daniel-venezuela.blogspot.com/

Where are the authorities? Since Venezuelans allegedly are not able to have democratic elections free of fraud shouldn't international organizations get involved and help those who do not have the ability do so against a dictator?

I would like to add special thanks to The Agonist for adding link to my blog as follows:
