Venezuela: Rights Suffer Under Chávez - Political Discrimination and Weakened Institutions Define Presidency

http://www.hrw.org/english/docs/2008/09/18/venezu19844.htm

Isn't Human Rights violations against all international laws? So, why in the world are international organizations quiet about this terrible situation? Shame on the inaction and procrastination of those who can help and are not helping out!

The following link is to opinion article written by Ambassador Adolfo Taylhardat explaining Chavez's errors concerning the diplomatic incident with the Vatican about a Venezuelan seeking political asylum:

Venezuelans need help from developed governments and international organizations to restore democracy and end corruption.

"The sword of global justice looms over Chávez" by Diego Arria

Interview with Diego Arria, former UN Security Council President

"The sword of global justice looms over Chávez"

"The drug-trafficking links of top intelligence officers entail a direct relationship with the head of state"

In less than a week's time, the Venezuelan government has expelled both the US ambassador and the director of Human Rights Watch, José Miguel Vivanco; objected to the Vatican's decision to grant diplomatic asylum to former student-movement leader Nixon Moreno; been accused of interventionism by the Bolivian Armed forces; and been the source of like protests in Paraguay and Ecuador while, in Miami, the court hearings on the briefcase scandal are underway. This chain of events, according to Diego Arria, former U.N. Security Council president, ex-U.N. ambassador for Venezuela and past advisor to that international organization's Secretary-General, is a clear sign that "Chávez's government has become a gang, clad in olive-green, that uses Venezuela's state-owned oil company Pdvsa for petty cash to fund all sorts of criminal undertakings."

Arrested Venezuelans Allegedly Attempting to Kill Chavez

Chavez issues on a regular basis the list of people who are planning to kill him. I imagine that Rambo, and others may also be on infamous Chavez's list.

This time two Venezuelans were arrested for allegedly owning a cannon to shoot down Chavez's aircraft as reported on this link:
