Venezuela's Political Disaster - Nov. 21, 2007 - Second Mailing

Dear Journalists,

The political situation in Venezuela is very serious with Chavez ready to take over power for life. He just returned to Caracas after a trip to Iran, and France where he met with President Nicolas Sarkozy. The French journalists wrote a few articles about the infamous leader:

Below please find link to article "Hugo Chavez, le 2 décembre et la tentation du coup d’État" written by Ambassador Adolfo Taylhardat published in Le Figaro and El Universal:

The hate of Iris Varela by Daniel Duquenal, PhD

One of the most colorful figures of chavismo is assemblywoman Iris Varela. A leftist firebrand who once considered joining the FARC in Colombia. Today she had an "incident" at a Tachira radio station. I do not know what happened (I am on the road and time is limited), but someone sent me the video (you do not need to understand Spanish as the sound is really bad, but there are such things as body language and the one of Varela reeks of violence and fascism).

Venezuela's Political Disaster - November 21, 2007

Dear Journalists,

I wonder if Chavez is deceiving French President Nicolas Sarkozy making him belief that the hostage negotiations can not take place until late December 2007. That is, after he would be secured following the upcoming referendum. Below please watch video reports from France 2 TV:

Affaire Bétancourt: Chavez à Paris 20h19m11s

And reports from the Venezuelan Press:

Venezuela's Political Disaster - November 19, 2007

Dear Journalists,

Word in Venezuela is that Chavez is traveling to Iran, and other countries in this very expensive trip with a committee of 500 staff mainly because he is a coward, and is using human shields to avoid his infamous aircraft to be shot down. What ever the reasons of his traveling committee of 500 people the fact is that Chavez is gathering all the money and power, leaving Venezuelans completely powerless, and broke while his thugs have pockets and overseas accounts loaded with millions of Euros.

http://www.eluniversal.com/2007/11/19/pol_ava_presidente-llego-a-i_19A1203279.shtml

Chavez restrictive laws for trade and to run private businesses are causing major financial difficulties to the middle class.

For those of you believing that blogs like mine are just to demonize the infamous leader, you may have just a culture shock and unable to see the world in another way than your own. Please open up your minds.

I would like to point out the background of the new Venezuelan student leader, Ricardo Sanchez, who with integrity is defending students rights:

Venezuelans need help to defend democracy. I would like to thank the journalists who are reporting what is going on in Venezuela. International leaders should take a break from their busy schedules and help Venezuelans in this very sad ordeal.
