Updated: Venezuela's Political Disaster - October 15, 2008
With the current Hurricane Omar affecting Venezuela's beaches perhaps anomalous Chavez may believe that some of his Santeria invoked ghosts may be sending him a message. As you may recall in the horrible landslides of December 1999 where thousands of people, wildlife and pets lost their lives, and Chavez refused foreign aid including sending back construction equipment sent by the United States. The word is that Chavez believed at the time that his invoked ghosts were telling him something according to expert witnesses based on Fidel Castro's religious advisors influence.

In other matters related to so infamous Chavez attached below please find link to article: NYBooks "Hugo Chávez Versus Human Rights" by Jose Miguel Vivanco, Daniel Wilkinson
"Below you can read the article written by Jose Miguel Vivanco and Daniel Wilkinson on their expulsion from Venezuela. This is the definitive article on the subject and I call attention to the last three paragraphs which sum it all up. This incident will pass like many other absurdities have passed, but the fact remains that Venezuela under Chavez will continue to descend on all human scales. PMB"

In much better news there is an idea circulating among Venezuelans to have Ambassador Diego Arria to be a presidential candidate.
Please read my previous posting where beloved Mayor Leopoldo Lopez has won the third place as the world's best mayor:
