Hugo Chavez seems to be acting on his grudge against the owners of the Empresas Polar. Employees are emailing, twitting, and asking everyone for support and to have justice served against direct attacks. The following is one of the many messages circulating the Internet:
Pepsi rejects removal of advertising ball in Caracas
While Chavez is moving to eliminate foreign exchange extortionists at the same time is allegedly taking over private enterprises through different means. Chavez continues to implement severe foreign exchange controls against citizens who are trying to conduct regular businesses through his agency www.cadivi.gov.ve. Citizens are unable to move their money since the infamous agency adds several weeks or months of waiting period for legal financial transactions. At times Cadivi just denies legally owned money to be moved by investors, and foreign creditors back-off from Venezuelan investors.
The following cartoon is circulating the Internet:
Venezuelan citizens are seeking international justice to restore democracy. Ambassador Diego Arria is currently traveling in Europe to denounce human rights abuses. All press cooperation to report the abuses will be greatly appreciated.
Diego Arria comienza gira para denunciar a Chávez en Europa
Ambassador Adolfo Taylhardat wrote in his biweekly columns about Chavez’s take over of Amb. Arria’s farm:
El saqueo de La Carolina
And, article about Hugo Chavez blocking International observers from the upcoming elections in Venezuela:
El veto a la OEA y la Unión Europea
Where are those who can help citizens against Hugo Chavez’s abuse of power? Venezuelans expect the aid from the International Court of Justice to resolve abuse of power in Venezuela and restore democracy!
