Venezuela's Political Disaster - June 21, 2008

The following is article written by Journalist Eleonora Bruzual who has a Radio Talk Show in Miami, Florida, and who has been denouncing Chavez's support for named terrorists:

What is so aggravating is that while Chavez's rules by whims, and sympathy for thug groups, Venezuelan citizens are suffering severe foreign exchange controls, inept government services like "Comision Administrative de Divisas" (Cadivi http://www.cadivi.gov.ve/) , and other controlling agencies that block freedom of trade, and financial well-being. So, all the money goes to Chavez to do as he pleases while keeping Venezuelans as financial hostages.

Venezuelans need help from developed governments and international organizations to restore democracy and end corruption.

CNN: U.S.: Two Venezuelans are supporting terrorism

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The U.S. government designated two Venezuelans, including a diplomat, as supporters of international terrorism Wednesday for what it called their support of the Lebanese Shiite movement Hezbollah, the U.S. Treasury Department announced Wednesday.

US commences designating Venezuelans

The US Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has named two Venezuelan nationals, and their two controlled businesses, as Specially Designated Global Terrorists, alleging that they are fundraisers and facilitators for Hizballah, and that one of the individuals named has traveled to Iran, whilst the other has been a diplomat in Syria and Lebanon. This is understood to be merely the first recent OFAC designation of Venezuelan nationals and entities.
