Below please find quote concerning Chavez's government:
Quotable from http://english.eluniversal.com/

“Over the last five years, the amount of drugs passing through Venezuela was some 20-30 tons a year, but now it is 200-300 tons a year. This is no growth, but an explosion. The fact is the amount of drug in transit in Venezuela has increased 15-fold.”

US Ambassador to Colombia William Brownfield

Please make sure to read Harvard Internationalist Pedro Mario Burelli's blog on the current situation in Venezuela:

Venezuelans need help from developed governments and international organizations to restore democracy and end corruption.

Venezuela's Political Disaster - February 13, 2008

Dear Journalists,

Following the Exxon lawsuit against Chavez, as expected Chavez does his normal self with threats against every one as reported by the links below.

"While Chávez has never followed through on his threats to stop oil deliveries to the US, his volatile personality and uncertainty surrounding his next moves may keep traders on guard," analyst John Kilduff told AFP.

Chavez's threats are a regular issue in Venezuela, but currently there is an outrageous letter circulating the Internet since a few days ago, where Chavez's supporters suggest retaliation against foreign investors in Venezuela, and against members of the Opus Dei. The retaliation was allegedly brought up because a foreign investor gave a cold shoulder to one of Chavez's staff.

It seems that Chavez and his supporters forgot about the well being of Venezuelans, and must stop chewing coca leaves for a few moments to realize that they are making bad decisions against common citizens and businesses.

Venezuelans need help from developed governments and international organizations to restore democracy and end corruption.
