RE: Venezuela's Political Disaster - September 24, 2005

Dear Journalists,

In order to add more pain to the injury Chavez will abuse Venezuelans even more by broadcasting his infamous blahblahing to the nation tomorrow from a property seized by his government as reported in the Venezuelan press today.

http://www.unionradio.com.ve/Noticias/Noticia.aspx?noticiaid=147060

In the meantime, a group of seven French Senators are visiting Venezuela in order to obtain information about the current political and economic situation affecting Venezuelans.

RE: Venezuela's Political Disaster - September 22, 2005

To the Honorable Human Rights Organizations:

Hopefully, Hurricane Rita will not cover up the situation that is happening in Venezuela as I write this e-mail. Award winning Journalist Walter Martinez in Caracas has denounced corruption in the Chavez's government. Mr. Martinez has been a supporter of Chavez and is his personal friend traveling with the infamous leader. Mr. Martinez says that he has been pressured to correct a story he ran on September 15 & 16 in his news program "Dossier."

Attached herewith please find link to this story from El Nacional:

To the Honorable Human Rights Organizations:

Attached below please find link to article published in Veneconomy Today reporting how Chavez is dismantling and controlling Venezuela's private sector and other major abuses. Who will stop Chavez? Is everyone just going to sit watching how one man destroys a country? God help Venezuelans!

Those of you who were and are still outraged about President Richard Nixon's Watergate crimes may know that if compared to Chavez's abuses Nixon's crimes would be misdemeanors.

Also attached is link to article "Who are you calling Mr. Danger?"published in the Elephants in Academia blog and www.vcrisis.com commenting on Chavez's trip to New York City last week:

Last but not least is link to opinion article written by Ambassador Adolfo Taylhardat also commenting on Chavez's visit to New York City and his conversation with Journalist Ted Koppel concerning the secret "Plan Balboa":

RE: Venezuela's Political Disaster - September 19, 2005

Dear Journalists,

Attached below please find link to article written by Alexandra Beech reporting her attempt to see Chavez in New York City last week during the United Nations General Assembly:

http://www.vcrisis.com/index.php?content=letters/200509190638

I would like to add that in 1999 (or 2000) Chavez came to Washington, DC in a low key not-official visit where he played baseball and later went to visit different cities with then future U.S. Ambassador to Venezuela Donna Hrinak. At that time, I was not interested in the Chavez's government and had no idea of the harm that the infamous character would do to Venezuela. I had learnt of his visit to Washington, DC by friends who mentioned it. I had a conversation during that time with a high ranking Venezuelan diplomat who was visiting his family and asked him why wasn't he at the baseball game, and he told me that he did not care about Chavez at all.

In 1998, I was curious about the upcoming Venezuelan elections and asked if Chavez had a chance to win and another diplomat told me that Chavez is a mad man and would be a disaster if he were to be elected. Some of my previous Venezuelan diplomat friends followed Chavez and are not longer my friends for whatever reason.

RE: Venezuela's Political Disaster - September 18, 2005

Dear Journalists,

Below please find link to Internationalist Pedro Mario Burelli's comments on Chavez's visit to the United Nations earlier this week responding to article published in The Washington Post yesterday "Chavez Stirs Things Up at the U.N.Venezuelan Leader Wins Cheers With Rant Against U.S."

http://pmbcomments.blogspot.com/

..."According to Ric Grenell, the spokesman for the U.S. mission to the United Nations, "We [the U.S.] have not denied a single visa for the Venezuelan delegation,". Grenell states the United States issued the Venezuelans a total of 135 visas, including 88 for Chavez's security detail. "There were 10 submitted very, very late. We are working very, very hard to meet those requests."
So there you have it, the problem is we are dealing – as always - with a deceitful, paranoid, wasteful and disorganized administration. " ...

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/09/17/AR2005091700553.html

Still very active reading is the report published by The Economist
www.economist.com written by Jennifer McCoy: (please run a search for this Premium content article)

"An insider account of Venezuela's controversial referendum"Sep 2nd 2004 From The Economist print edition

Not many issues have changed since that article was written. To this date just the mention of President Jimmy Carter and Jennifer McCoy's name creates immediate fury from the Venezuelan Opposition. Hopefully, questions to future ballots will be kept simple. There are reports of people who just did not understand the question asked and because of the time pressure to read and vote the wrong answer was submitted with no way to correct it.
