TVESpain's Prime Minister spoke in favour of José María Aznar, his predecessor, after Hugo Chávez referred to him as a fascist on several occasions‘Why don’t you shut up!’ The words of King Juan Carlos 1 of Spain to the Venezuelan President, Hugo Chávez, in the closing session of the Latin American summit today.

The Spanish monarch lost his cool when Chávez called the ex Spanish Prime Minister, José María Aznar, a fascist on several occasions. King Juan Carlos then got up and walked out of the session in a gesture without precedent, and just in time to hear the Nicaraguan President, Daniel Ortega, criticising Spanish businesses and the role of Union Fenosa in Nicaragua in particular. The King was to return later, but was not present for the singing of the Chilean hymn which closed the debates.Spanish Prime Minister, José Luis Rodríguez Zaptero tried to get Chávez to moderate his speech, saying it was necessary to respect others, speaking in defence of Aznar.‘I can be in a completely different ideological position and I am not close to the ideas of Aznar’, said Zapatero, 'but he was chosen by the Spanish people and I demand that respect’, said Zapatero. To this Cháves replied that he had the right to say what he liked.

Question circulating the Internet

PORQUE NADIE HA MENCIONADO QUE LA UNICA FORMA DE GANAR CON UN NO ROTUNDO ES SI LOS VOTOS SON CONTADOS MANUALMENTE? SABES QUE AUNQUE VZLA ENTERA VOTE 'NO', VA A HABER TRAMPA, ENTONCES PORQUE NO EXIGIR EL CONTEO MANUAL?

Venezuela's Political Disaster - November 7, 2007

Dear Journalists,

Students are marching today in Caracas protesting Chavez's proposed authoritarian rules to the Constitution:

http://www.globovision.com/news.php?nid=69947

The students have been protesting in Venezuela for the last several days. Please read previous postings on my blog. I will be updating the blog as needed.

There is a new character protesting against Chavez and is actively speaking out, but who has skeptics worried:

"Three months and 18 days after he stopped being the Minister of Defense and retired, and following some "reflection," Monday retired General in Chief Raúl Isaías Baduel felt "the moral obligation and duty" to warn Venezuelans against the "dreadful backlash" the proposed changes to the Constitution involve, adding that approval of the reform would amount to a "coup d'etat."

Venezuelans need help from international organizations to restore democracy!

Warning: Blog de Raul Isaias Baduel

Dear Journalists,

Several skeptics are warning citizens of the action taken by former Chavez's supporter military Raul Isaias Baduel:

http://www.raulbaduel.blogspot.com/

As an interesting fact, there were rumors in the early 2000 that Chavez has an infatuation with the name Isaias.

Next please find one reaction written by Journalist Eleonora Bruzual:

House Passes Klein/Mack Resolution on Iran

Dear Journalists,

Please click to read about U.S. House of Representative passing H. Res. 435, a resolution they introduced expressing the House of Representatives’ growing concerns over the national security implications regarding Iran’s growing relationships in Latin America.
The Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has visited Latin America three times in the past year, and has signed agreements with several countries in the region worth billions of dollars. Additionally, Iran has opened new embassies and has initiated direct flights from Caracas to Tehran.
