Hugo Chavez to undergo surgery again

America's Forum reports breaking news that Hugo Chavez is in Cuba for another surgery.  Reuters' article Venezuela's Chavez to have another operation explains the ongoing situation:
El Universal reports similar news:
Venezuelans seem to be very tired of Hugo Chavez's disinformation, and do not believe most of the news.  The rumors of his trip to Cuba where he was reportedly joined by his whole family coincided with Carnival vacation.
In the meantime, Venezuelans are complaining of the decay of public services including the beloved Planetarium Humboldt in Parque del Este in Caracas.  There are unconfirmed reports that the Planetarium has not been operating since November 2011 because of bad air conditioning, and other issues related to funding.
The ancient planetarium projector currently in operation at the park dates back several decades.  Even though, the lack of  new technology amateur astronomers use it regularly.  Venezuela has active amateur astronomers who keep up-to-date with space observation.

Hugo Chavez’s filthy politics

Updated February 20, 2012 at 7:39 p.m.
This article written by Jackson Diehl, Deputy Editorial Page Editor of the Washington Post, should be mandatory reading for Venezuelans.

Hugo Chavez's Life and Death Battle

The following is new cartoon showing Hugo Chavez calling Majunche the opposition presidential candidate Henrique Capriles Radonski:

Dear Journalists,
In case you missed the main news from Venezuela this week:
Hugo Chavez is aiding Syrian President Bashar Assad sending diesel to Syria.
http://www.eluniversal.com/economia/120216/venezuela-ships-diesel-to-syria
Hugo Chavez has crossed the line from filthy politics to beyond filthy ethics with a total lack of respect for Venezuelan citizens, and humanity.  Hugo Chavez verbally attacked the opposition candidate Henrique Capriles Radonski calling him a series of insults, including using anti-semitic remarks, and has threatened Venezuelan citizens with war if the opposition wins.
http://blog.heritage.org/2012/02/15/chavez-allies-hysterical-response-to-a-democratic-challenge-in-venezuela/
However, Hugo Chavez’s insults against opposition presidential candidate Henrique Capriles Radonski backfired since his supporters flooded the Internet with pictures of  M.A.J.U.N.C.H.E. slang for jerk as Chavez called him repeatedly during a speech to the nation.  Supporters created their own version of   M.A.J.U.N.C.H.E: Movimiento Activo de Jovenes Unidos Nacionalmente Contra Hugo en Elecciones. Yo soy Majunche!  (Active movement of nationally united youth against Hugo in the elections.  I am Majunche!)
This editorial cartoon highlights Hugo Chavez’s speech against Capriles Randonski.
A joke circulating the Internet says that Sean Penn, actor friend of Hugo Chavez, asked an interpreter the meaning of Majunche, and the response:  The next president of Venezuela!
Henrique Capriles Radonski brilliantly referred to the insults as desperation:
Former Colombian President Alvaro Uribe Velez commented on his website about Hugo Chavez threats to the nation saying that if the opposition wins on October 7 will guarantee war, violence and national fire:
Please keep in mind that Hugo Chavez follows the examples of Muammar Khaddafi and Bashar Assad.
Ambassador Adolfo Taylhardat’s opinion article congratulates Venezuela for the impeccable civility during the primary election process which represents the dominating spirit of Venezuelans at this time:
Venezuelans need help from world leaders, and the International Court of Justice, to resolve abuse of power in Venezuela and restore democracy.

Cordially,
