Hugo Chavez's Fears

Updated

Chavez is not allowing the democratic process to take place in Venezuela. The candidates who were democratically voted out have been nominated to higher Cabinet postings by Chavez.

The following nominations are published in the Gaceta Oficial:

Fue nombrado Jesse Chacón Escamillo como Ministro de Comunicación e Información y Diosdado Cabello como Ministro de Infraestructura, según decreto de la Presidencia de la República publicado hoy en la Gaceta Oficial número 39073.

Reports show Chavez threatening everyone in his path including democratically elected officials, and is mandating new amendments to the Constitution against the will of the people.

Hugo Chavez's Fears

Updated

Quotable:

"(Chávez) suffered a major setback when the democratic opposition won the governorships of the five most populous states plus the Caracas Mayor's office [...] Now wounded and resentful Chávez is more dangerous than before, and will not give up trying to turn the country into a totalitarian state."

Former UN Ambassador Diego Arria

Hugo Chavez's Fears

Updated:

Chavez has released report with information concerning a plan to kill him as reported by Noticias24:

http://media.noticias24.com/0812/infoan.pdf

The document is ninety-five pages long, and accuses many known opposition personalities. Chavez has been seizing television networks almost daily since his candidates lost key posts in the municipal elections. Chavez has also threatened one newly elected official warning him that he is surrounded!

Chavez's time out and gone!

Updated
Dear Journalists,

Venezuelans are reacting in force against Chavez’s plans to seek indefinite re-election scheduling referendum on constitutional reform for January, and are protesting today in Caracas. There is a huge poster quoting Liberator Simon Bolivar defining a tyrant:

"Nada es tan peligroso como dejar permanecer largo tiempo a un mismo ciudadano en el poder. El pueblo se acostumbra a obedecerle y él se acostumbra a mandarlo; de donde se origina la usurpación y la tiranía".

http://www.noticias24.com/fotos/188/despliegan-pancarta-gigante-contra-la-reeleccion-presidencial/

Nothing is more dangerous than allowing the same individual in power. The people get used to obey, and the individual also gets used to give orders; and this is the root of usurpation and tyranny.

Chavez's Mental Breakdown

Revised

Dear Journalists,

Chavez seems to be having mental breakdowns for the last few days. First, he started saying that he will be killed, and now he is asking for immediate processing of his indefinite re-election as he announced during his infamous seizing of the television networks earlier today:

Infamous Chavez's thugs maybe warning him about President Bush's lame duck status, and the upcoming Obama Administration.

It is of utmost importance that international organizations intervene and assist Venezuelans against this maniac.

Venezuelans need help from developed governments and international organizations to restore democracy and end corruption.

Chavez to disregard democratic election choices, as if

Chavez has asked his political party PSUV to process the documents needed for her indefinite reelection as reported by the following press link:

Chávez pide al PSUV que tramite otra vez la reelección indefinida
http://www.noticias24.com/actualidad/noticia/20861/chavez-pide-al-psuv-que-tramite-la-reeleccion-indefinida-de-nuevo/

Venezuelans voted on December 2007 against indefinite reelection. Thus, Chavez seems to be breaking the law.
