Is Venezuela a Narco State?

Dear Journalists,
The events that took place last week with the United States of America, Venezuela, and the Netherlands left many questions open. Perhaps you can find the answers.
The U.S. Department of Treasury issued a press release dated 9/12/2008 titled Treasury Targets Venezuelan Government Officials Supporting the FARC:
One of the generals sought was caught in the island of Aruba last week where the Venezuelan government had sent him as Consul, but he had not yet secured diplomatic immunity. There was a heated discussion, and the Netherlands released the individual from detention.
Roberta Jacobson, Assistant Secretary of State, @WHAAsstSecty, wrote that “The release of Carvajal is a misapplication of diplomatic immunity, and makes a mockery of that important principle”.
There are reports that Venezuela was going to send battle ships to Aruba to ensure the release of the pending diplomat. The Washington Post reported that there were threats behind release of Venezuelan general.
Aruba Says Venezuela Raised Military Pressure on It
So, what has become of Venezuela? I worry that the International Criminal Court of Justice in the Hague has become a joke.
Venezuelans need help from world leaders to assure the safety of the opposition leaders, and the International Court of Justice, to resolve abuse of power in Venezuela and restore democracy.

Expert opinion article rejected by El Universal newspaper

Dear Journalists,

The situation in Venezuela has deteriorated beyond recognition. It is hard to write about all the abuses against civilians and the nation and that is the reason why recently I just tweet the most outrageous events. However, former Venezuelan Ambassador Adolfo R. Taylhardat contacted his readers to inform that his recent opinion article was rejected by newspaper El Universal that was recently bought by the government.

Indulgencia con escapulario ajeno
Adolfo R. Taylhardat
The International Court of Justice, busy at it is, should make time to prosecute Hugo Chavez’s thugs who survived him for abuse of power, fraud, and more fraud if the alleged algorithms and open violation of the vote are true.
Venezuelans need help from world leaders to assure the safety of the opposition leaders, and the International Court of Justice, to resolve abuse of power in Venezuela and restore democracy.

#SOSVENEZUELA Dictatorship & Twitter

Dear Journalists,

This morning I posted on Twitter video shown below from a college student responding to infamous Rafael Ramirez, who is the head of oil company Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A. (PDVSA), (http://www.pdvsa.com), or has a new title as Vice President of Economy, where the student asked him to resign his post.
#SOSVENEZUELA Estudiante explica a R. Ramírez! EXCELENTE!
Please know that I sent the video to the usual Twitter addresses, and to some VIPs who have shown support for Venezuela’s opposition.
However, my Twitter account was suspended again! Twitter told me that someone reported my posting as spam. It could be that dictatorial government illegitimate officials considered my post as spam.
Twitter should verify who is reporting spam, and stop abuse of power from certain users.
United Nations Peacekeeping helps countries torn by conflict create the conditions for lasting peace. We are comprised of civilian, police and military personnel. Please send the blue helmets to Venezuela.
THE ORGANIZATION OF AMERICAN STATES MUST ENFORCE THE DEMOCRATIC CHARTER IN VENEZUELA!   However, after the recent event where opposition leader and hero Maria Corina Machado was denied the right to present evidence of the situation in Venezuela. The OAS seems hopelessly led by a majority of ulterior motives individuals.
The International Court of Justice, busy at it is, should make time to prosecute Hugo Chavez’s thugs who survived him for abuse of power, fraud, and more fraud if the alleged algorithms and open violation of the vote are true.

SHAME & DISINFORMATION PROVIDED BY JOURNALIST

Dear Journalists,

The following is URL to my blog2 where a concerned citizen wrote open letter to Journalist Walter Martinez. I received by a source in Venezuela video of news broadcast from Walter Martinez stating that Russian and Chinese ships were gathering to help infamous illegitimate government of Maduro.

http://maruangaritablog2.blogspot.com/2014/03/shame-disformation.html

I apologize to everyone who read my Twitter message about Russian and Chinese ships. As I stated on my blog2:

"Please know that I with concern forwarded news release provided by Journalist Walter Martinez that Russian and Chinese ships were gathering to go to Venezuela. I knew Walter Martinez, and I helped him out on a few projects since 1992 in Venezuela and Washington, D.C. He had won journalist awards, so  I made the mistake to believe his report."

I wrote that with concern I forwarded Walter Martinez's report, because I have seen many politicians and journalists who supported Venezuelan Presidents Dr. Rafael Caldera and Carlos Andrés Pérez turned to support infamous Hugo Chavez and thugs.

I am embarrassed since I should have known better than to forward a broadcast from someone who is allegedly supporting the illegitimate Maduro.  I just could not believe that Walter Martinez would report disinformation.  In these moments of reports from many sources one must verify all news until the truth comes out.  Only time will tell who reported the correct news.

Please accept my apologies for forwarding that news release.

#SOSVENEZUELA: Russian Ships & Missiles

Dear Journalists,
S.O.S. United Nations please send Peacekeepers to Venezuela!
As notified by Twitter to several news agencies, and world leaders, on February 26, 2014, witnesses reported movement of dozens of missiles from the City of Maracay to Caracas. There are several unconfirmed reports circulating the Internet which journalists on the field and elsewhere would need to verify:
-          The movement of missiles could be a psychological warfare against protesters.
-          There is a Russian-Venezuela accord about returning missiles if Venezuela cannot guarantee their safety.
-          There are new Russians ships in Cuba, and one at La Guaira harbor near Caracas.
-          A missiles parade?
-          What may be taking place on March 5?
In other matters, as the press reported Venezuelan protesters were brutally attacked and some were killed by Police and National Guards. However, Maracay had major looting of at least twenty-five business establishments causing havoc, destruction, and one person killed. Where were the Police and National Guards when the looting was taking place?
Please follow the reports about Leopoldo López on www.ntn24.com, www.lapatilla.com, www.universal.com, www.el-nacional.com, www.infodio.com, etc.

#SOSVENEZUELA: HORROR

BREAKING NEWS:  General Avila is with rifle at home defiant of the infamous government officials trying to arrest him for speaking out against the government. Gen. Avila was kicked out of the Army because of refusing to repeat “Patria, Socialismo o Muerte”!

Dear Journalists,
S.O.S. United Nations please send Peacekeepers to Venezuela!
Reading news from Venezuela my reaction is horror. Students massacred by government officials immune of prosecution. People terrified by the paid paramilitaries “Tupamaros” causing panic, government open disinformation to the press and to citizens. For example, reports of burned cars blamed on students while students videotaped  Police and National Guard setting cars of fire. As France24.com reported (http://www.france24.com/en/20140221-president-maduro-dead-protests-venezuela-lopez/). France24 also reported the disinformation from VTV showing “live” scenes of chaos while citizens simultaneously reported the same scene as normal (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxUEDLadiaM). Government officials raiding homes of protesters, and all sort of oppression.
For several months loved ones have complaint that they cannot find basic foods to eat, nor hygiene products as toilet paper, etc. Many also complain that there is no pet food to be found. Loved ones have ongoing difficulties feeding their pets their basic diet. Today, @perrofiao twitted that there is not food nor medicines for pets.  The infamous inept government of illegitimate Maduro ruined the nation. As Fareed Zakaria’s experts explained infamous Maduro is not charismatic to say the least http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/fzgps.html

#SOSVENEZUELA: GOVERNMENT OPPRESSION & ABUSE

Dear Journalists,
Please know that this morning CNNEE Journalist @PatriciaJaniot was kicked out of Venezuela for reporting government oppression and all abuses.
My fellow blogger Alek Boyd (@alekboyd) sent this e-mail today:
The last few days the chavista regime in Venezuela censored the Colombian news channel NTN24. CNN reporter Karl Penhaul and his crew were assaulted by police in Caracas for, basically, doing their job. Caracas Press Club and Instituto Sociedad y Prensa have reported various attacks on journalists in the last few days. Images and videos of the brutality unleashed on protesters uploaded to Twitter have reportedly been censored. Yesterday, President Maduro threatened to kick CNN out of the country.
While the above will almost certainly be justified by the regime for flaming the fire, I would like to remind Venezuela observers that my own blog (infodio.com) which deals almost exclusively with corruption and it's written mainly in English, has been censored since 16 Jan 2014. And there's no point in even bringing up the case of RCTV, take over of dozens radio stations, how Globovision was choked with tax investigations and other measures until a group of Boligarchs bought it, how the regime has starved critical newspapers of foreign currency so that paper can't be imported, or the little known acquisition of Venezuela's largest newspaper conglomerate (Cadena Capriles) by proxies of chavista governor Tareck el Aissami.
I heard at a CSIS event the other day from a bearded Chilean gentleman that since a few critical opeds are still printed in El Universal that proves that there's still freedom of the press in Venezuela. While the opinion, totally discredited, of communist nostalgics is heard in free societies, Venezuelans are seeing a creeping curtain of censorship from a regime desperate to hide the brutal repression meted out to protesters and innocent civilians. Tachira state, in the border with Colombia and where protests started due to a rape attempt on a student, has no internet access. Russian Sukhoi fighter jets and two battalions have been deployed to further repression.
Events in Venezuela are happening at a speed that makes impossible for traditional media to keep tabs. Protests are not taking place only in Caracas, the entire country is up against chavismo. Opposition leaders have called for a demonstration tomorrow, which is likely to turn into hundreds of thousands of people across the country taking to the streets to support students protests and to decry the deaths, injured, torture and the horrible economic situation.
The best way of keeping abreast with what's happening is through Twitter. You can follow me @alekboyd and other bloggers and colleagues to get the latest. In this dire hour what we need and expect from democrats around the world is solidarity, and help to overcome censorship by retweeting news coming out of our country.

#SOSVENEZUELA: GENOCICE

UPDATE:
SOS SOS SOS TO THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY
http://maruangaritablog2.blogspot.com/

Dear Journalists,
While most world news are reporting the violent protests in Kiev, Ukraine, a horrible situation of genocide is taking place in Venezuela. Police, National Guard, and paramilitaries "Tupamaros" are violently attacking “unarmed” protesters with no compassion and with alleged orders to kill.
The evening of February of 19, 2014 the following amateur video circulated on Twitter (m.youtube.com/watch?v=1b-L0J_SElM&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3D1b-L0J_SElM) The government forces mentioned above attacked students. There are reported several badly injured, and some dead. Pathetic government illegal officials are sarcastic, and alleged pathologically lying on the events. Venezuelan citizens were repressed in the past under the Hugo Chavez’s administration and the government won. Infamous illegitimate Maduro is bringing more vicious gendarmes from Cuba to further repress. THIS TIME, Venezuelans need help to stop the ongoing abuse.
Venezuela needs the UN Peacekeepers Blue Helmets. Maduro and thugs have caused too much damage to the abused nation!

#SOSVENEZUELA: Leopoldo López

Dear Journalists,
It is honorable the fact that opposition leader Leopoldo López had the integrity to turn himself in to the infamous government officials. However, the concern is that those officials do not have integrity, nor care about law, and have shown to manipulate the law in their favor. That is, questions about the date of Hugo Chavez’s death, Nicolas Maduro taking over the presidency by alleged fraud, and the events that we all have seen with the treatment of protesters.
International organizations and leaders including President Juan Manuel Santos have not done anything to assist Venezuelans restore democracy. President Santos said today that he will have dialogue with the officials. It was about time! Thank you!
However, Venezuela needs the UN Peacekeepers Blue Helmets. Maduro and thugs have caused too much damage to the abused nation!
I find it ludicrous the fact that illegitimate Nicolas Maduro always talks by a huge picture of Libertator Simón Bolivar who was direct ancestor of Leopoldo López, and whose teachings are completely opposite of uneducated Maduro.
Please follow the reports about Leopoldo López on www.ntn24.com, www.lapatilla.com, www.universal.com, www.el-nacional.com, www.infodio.com, etc.

Dear Journalists,
The international community must protect @leopoldolopez who courageously on February 18, 2014  alone will deliver letter to the infamous government officials.
The picture below of National Guard Herrera Ruso is widely circulating the Internet as the alleged mastermind of ordering to rape unarmed protesters including using guns, and other crimes. Some of the poster content was removed, and replaced by a picture since it contains profanities, and hatred.

#SOSVENEZUELA: Please send UN Blue Helmets

Dear Journalists,
The situation in Venezuela is repressive and abusive against unarmed civilians. Infamous illegitimate Nicolas Maduro yesterday reportedly brought at least 200 Cubans to assist in repressing civilians.
For fifteen years Venezuelans were hostages of infamous Hugo Chavez, and many were massacred in order to cause panic among peaceful protesting civilians. The Venezuelan press, and many bloggers advocates reached out to the international community and world leaders, but no one helped out! Venezuelans cannot defend themselves against sociopath police and National Guard offices who are abusing civilians.
I urge all world leaders to please have compassion and help out Venezuelans against the pathetic abusers, and please send the UN Blue Helmets to stop the abuse. Venezuela would be today so much better if the international community had acted during the disgusting Hugo Chavez’s administration. The nation cannot longer tolerate further abuse where violence is rampant, and officials are inept, or corrupted, living a life style of moral turpitude.

VENEZUELA: H for Havoc & Hope

UPDATE:
Recent Violence in Venezuela
Press Statement
John Kerry
Secretary of State
Washington, DC
February 15, 2014
http://www.state.gov/secretary/remarks/2014/02/221693.htm
Dear Journalists,
First of all, please accept my apologies for sending so many Twitts when the students’ protests started. Twitter temporarily suspended my account, and I had the chance to explain to Twitter what was going on including the fact that the Venezuelan infamous officials blocked Twitter messages from Venezuela. I live in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, and I am an American citizen born in Venezuela.
There is havoc in Venezuela. As some of you may have read, students have been abused by police, and the National Guard. The police killed three students including one by blows to his body, others with bullets on their heads. There are reports of students who were raped by police and NG. There is a photo circulating which does not seem Photoshop edited of one male student forced to have oral sex with at least two police or NG. There are reports that there are Cuban citizens serving as police officers and NG in Venezuela.
I have loved ones actively participating in the protests in different cities, and while I am worried sick about their well-being, they must protest. Venezuela has turned out to be a nation ran by moral turpitude officials, and sociopaths including infamous illegitimate Nicolas Maduro who forced himself in as president while not having the votes nor the qualifications to run a nation.
I will post updates to my blog news as needed, and send Twitts notifying updates. This is to avoid further issues with Twitter, and not to be considered spam to world leaders and government officials.

Venezuela is ruined – Venezuela se arruinó!

Dear Journalists,
Economist Fareed Zakaria, Ph.D. from Harvard University explained on his GPS analysis program on CNN in his report “How To Ruin Your Economy” in five easy steps that Venezuela was ruined by the following actions taking by the Hugo Chavez and illegitimate Nicolas Maduro’s administrations (http://globalpublicsquare.blogs.cnn.com/2013/11/16/five-ways-to-ruin-an-economy/)
Rule #1. Attack big business.
Rule #2. Create hyperinflation.
Rule #3. Induce a currency crisis.
Rule #4. Subsidize, subsidize, subsidize
Rule #5 Become a dictatorship
Following the horrendous crime of Monica Spear and her husband after she brought him to Venezuela to know her country, Journalist Luis Vicente León explains how the crime has reached outrageous figures where in 2013 24,700 persons were victims of violent deaths.
There is a petition to save the Hato Piñero, an ecological site, which the government wants to destroy:

MERRY CHRISTMAS NOT!

Dear Journalists,
Many in Venezuela will not have a Merry Christmas 2013 at all thanks to the obsolete currency control system (Comisión de Administración de Divisas. www.cadivi.gob.ve/‎). Cadivi ruined many businesses’ credit to vendors, and placed business owners in a terrible situation where they cannot buy nor sell goods because of the foreign currency controls created by inept individuals. It takes several months for approval of requests for foreign currency.
The Associated Press reported on December 16, 2013 that Venezuela’s illegitimate government officials announced new auction mechanism which will gradually replace the so-called Cadivi system that is used to mete out dollars to Venezuelans.  That is, after everyone is ruined and there are complete lack of basic food supplies for citizens. I was told this week that in the city of Maracay the lines to buy groceries are two to three blocks long of people standing in line, and when they arrive to buy their goods there are none!
Loved ones lack basic foods, detergents, and there is not even beer to buy. All of this thanks to inept, greedy, and moral turpitude government officials who only cared about how rich they could become. Just last week it was reported on Twitter that a government official’s nephew got married and a huge party at the island of Coche was thrown with whatever amount of luxuries and excesses.
Infamous illegitimate president Maduro is attacking businesses for over pricing goods, but does nothing at all to his supporters who drive unlicensed pirate taxis all over the cities charging as they please.
Please read the www.infodio.com that reports details of who has money in Venezuela, and how some have become billionaires in only a few years.
Ambassador Adolfo Taylhardat (retired) explained corruption in his opinion article http://www.eluniversal.com/opinion/131218/corrupcion

Open letter to Dutch King Willem-Alexander

Dear Journalists,
This blog posting is to address His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands, and his wife Her Majesty Queen Máxima concerning their November 23, 2013 trip to Venezuela to meet with illegitimate leader Nicolas Maduro of Venezuela.
On November 23 Dutch King Willem-Alexander and his wife Maxima met with illegitimate leader Nicolas Maduro, a visit coinciding with anti-government protests by Venezuela's opposition (Agence France Presse, 2013). Transparency International’s Corruption Perceptions Index ranks the Netherlands with a CPI score of 84 and Venezuela’s CPI score is 19! How can Dutch companies do business with Venezuelan citizens and vice versa? Venezuelan citizens at this time seem closer to the Vincent van Gogh’s The Potato Eaters painting with the exception that at times Venezuelans cannot find coffee, nor basic goods as toilet paper, flour and all. Please read Steve H. Hanke’s presentation (http://www.cato.org/blog/venezuelas-house-cards).
Your Majesties, it is of utmost importance that you understand that the current economic policies in Venezuela are a major disaster. The commission to control foreign exchange (http://www.cadivi.gob.ve/)  for businesses big and small has ruined the credit of most Venezuelan companies. CADIVI takes several months to process a request for foreign currency to pay creditors and enable businesses to buy goods.
Venezuela’s current president has been reported as illegitimate since the elections were allegedly rigged big time (The Weekly Standard, 2013). Please remember that Maduro was nominated by his own wife who is an attorney and should have recused herself for this decision for  possible conflict of interest.
Your Majesties, I invite you to please visit my blog http://maruangarita.blogspot.com/, and those of my fellow bloggers like Alexander Boyd, Pedro Mario Burelli, and experts who are regularly quoted in our blogs and other Web sites.
 Cordially,
Maru Angarita
