Press Release from U.S. Congressman Connie Mack

In Case You Missed It....

Mack to Kennedy: Stop Letting Hugo Chavez Use You as a PR Prop

Dear Friend,

You probably know by now that I have become an outspoken critic of Venezuelan strongman Hugo Chavez. You may also know that former Massachusetts Congressman Joe Kennedy has become one of his biggest defenders in the United States.

That’s why earlier this week I called on Congressman Kennedy to stop airing television ads and participating in activities that praise this communist dictator. This call to action, coupled with Kennedy’s strident refusal to stop lauding Chavez has quickly become national news. Additionally, earlier today I challenged Congressman Kennedy to a debate about his unfettered support of Hugo Chavez, and to hear just how wrong he is. I’m still waiting to see if Congressman Kennedy will agree to debate, but I’ll be sure to let you know.

Also, be sure to tune in to NBC’s Today Show tomorrow morning at approximately 7:05 AM to watch a taped segment on the Kennedy-Chavez alliance.
