Ever since Hugo Chavez took office in 1999 the press has reported that he has surrounded himself with parallel forces including the motorcycle gangs.

There are many complaints of assaults at gun point from motorcycle gangs while people are stuck in traffic jams.

In other news, El Nacional newspaper reports that according to the 2008 seized computers from the late FARC terrorist Raul Reyes Hugo Chavez had offered the terrorists the sale of Venezuelan oil and gasoline as income:
