Venezuela's Political Disaster - January 7, 2007

Dear Journalists,

It seems that Chavez started the new year with a more radical and controversial staff. Venezuelans are reacting to the new National Assembly staff. The political party COPEI complaint that the members had worked for Chavez before without correcting any of the problems. COPEI announced that 115,000 Venezuelans have died in city violence since Chavez took office.

Journalist Eleonora Bruzual on her daily radio show also criticized Chavez's new staff as reported in this link explaining who is who in the new cabinet:

Blogger Daniel Duquenal, PhD is getting ready to restart his blog postings, but also reacted to the new cabinet:

The Human Rights Foundation reports that one of their researchers working in Venezuela was shot five times in an alleged carjacking on January 5:

Venezuelans need help from developed governments and international organizations to restore democracy and end corruption.
