Dear Journalists,
Since 1998 when I started observing from abroad the political disaster in Venezuela led by Hugo Chavez I questioned his reasons, and after seeing what Venezuela has become in 2012 the most reasonable explanation is that he must detest the nation. Thanks to his questionable upbringing Hugo Chavez has allegedly succeeded to amass gigantic sums of money while neglecting and abusing Venezuelan citizens. These days Hugo Chavez has Cuba on a pedestal where he allegedly is building a new residence as reported on Twitter by some journalists. He prefers only to treat his illnesses in Cuba rejecting all medical treatment in Venezuela. Chavez in the several years in power and after huge financial give-aways to other nations has kept Venezuelans without appropriate hospitals and health care.
Currently, the infamous leader is threatening those who report contaminated water after the over 120,000 barrels of oil spilled into the rivers in eastern Venezuela (http://www.economist.com/node/21547829), and the current conditions of all the water supplies in the nation. Ambassador Adolfo Taylhardat commented on his column about Hugo Chavez’s censure to report contaminated water in Venezuela, and questions if the infamous leader is out-of-touch with reality.

Venezuela’s La Mariposa Dam a Threat to Public Health - OOSKAnews reports “Water from the La Mariposa Dam facility in Venezuela’s Miranda state is heavily polluted and poses a threat to public health in the region, according to government officials and local environmental groups”.

The following document from Faes discusses among other issues the “Socialism of the XXI century” based on revolutionary populism, exclusive nationalism, and racist indigenism. Perhaps this is one of the issues where Hugo Chavez has spent Venezuelans’ money.

The following is a comment published on The Economist concerning violence in Venezuela:
Venezuelans need help from world leaders, and the International Court of Justice, to resolve abuse of power in Venezuela and restore democracy.
