Dear Journalists,
On this date of January 23, Venezuelans celebrate the
defeat of dictator Marcos Pérez
Jiménez in 1958.
Sadly, Venezuela is experiencing not just an indecent,
but vulgar dictatorship with total disrespect of the Constitution, and
surrealisticly adoring the infamous Hugo Chavez like if he were a new idol in
Santeria. In case you missed it, Washington Post editorial by Journalist
Jackson Diehl brilliantly describes the current situation:
Chavez is not
going quietly
Ambassador Adolfo Taylhardat
discussed the embarrassing situation at the Organization of American States
following intervention by Panama’s Ambassador Martinelli Cochez:
There is no need for poor taste
personal attacks and insults. Chavistas must recognize that Hugo Chavez is a
dictator and has no place in a democracy!
The International Court of Justice, busy at it is, should
make time to prosecute Hugo Chavez, and his thugs who survive him, for fraud if
the alleged algorithms and open violation of the vote are true.
Venezuelans need help from world leaders, and the
International Court of Justice, to resolve abuse of power in Venezuela and
restore democracy.
Cordially,
Maru
