Revised: Venezuela's Political Disaster - May 13, 2008

Dear Journalists,

Attached below please find link to text of open letter to Boris Johnson, Mayor of London written by the Venezuelan group G-400+ concerning the former Mayor Ken Livingstone-Chavez deal to provide cheap fuel for London’s buses and trams which was a major mistake that for the sake of the poorest Venezuelans:

The G-400+ website will be updated with this information.

As you may know by now, Chavez tries to influence certain groups of people including U.S. Congress Representatives and staff by providing cheap oil to the poor which is really a very expensive issue in the long run. For more information on this issue, please do a search on my blog for Joe Kennedy.

Concerning the Interpol investigation please read a quote from infamous Chavez:

Quotable
http://english.eluniversal.com/

"Do not be ludicrous, Colombia's government. I challenge you to produce one single evidence, not imbecile documents (…) It is difficult to have relations with a government in this way. Ah, economics, trade! May them keep going. As for personal relationships, what for?" Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, speaking about the files found in a laptop seized from FARC Raul Reyes by the Colombian government and analyzed by Interpol.

Chavez seems to be under a lot of stress since he is insulting everyone including German Chancellor Angela Merkel as reported on my previous post.

Venezuelans need help from developed governments and international organizations to restore democracy and end corruption.

Cordially,

Maru Angarita
