Venezuela's Political Disaster - July 26, 2008

Dear Journalists,

Spain befriends Chavez in order to buy oil at a less expensive rate as reported by Spain's ABC article:

España rehabilita a Chávez a cambio de comprarle petróleo a menor precio

There are reports that Chavez told His Majesty beloved King Juan Carlos of Spain that the Island of Mallorca reminds him of Cuba.

Chavez and supporters are advocating for Cuba. Humm, I wonder how someone who is abusive towards Venezuelan citizens, an alleged misogynist, financially supports the FARC as reported by the press, and reports from INTERPOL, advocates for Cuba, and not for Venezuelan citizens.

Chavez is traveling around Europe. As you all may know, Venezuelans can not travel that much because of limits on the amount of foreign currency allowed to purchase on a yearly basis. Please visit Chavez's foreign trade website: "Comision Administrative de Divisas" (Cadivi

Chavez's abusive foreign trade controls affect not just the ability for citizens to travel, but has affected everyone's finances and quality of life. Perhaps, Chavez with the oil money, and abundance of privileges has forgotten what is like to live within a salary, and a budget. Perhaps, Chavez is turned off by others living under his abusive restrictions, and only has acceptance for those who join in his alleged stash of oil money.

The video link below from one of Chavez's supporters making statements about the FARC's three American hostages is outrageous. The infamous supporter says that the hostages should be grateful for the good treatment, and other non-sense statements.

In the meantime, Chavez is blocking opposition candidates to run in the upcoming elections as reported in the attached link:

"Banning candidates is the worst hara-kiri"

Venezuelans need help from developed governments and international organizations to restore democracy and end corruption.
